      <image:title>Artist's Bio - What is Moosh?</image:title>
<image:caption>Simple: a balloon! When I was a baby, I would obsessively doodle a balloon on any surface I could find: the phonebook, my mom’s grocery list, the dinner table, etc. Moosh is the birth of my passion in art.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Artist's Bio - Hi, I’m Simoni!</image:title>
<image:caption>Art has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Through my years of art, I’ve found my style in abstraction and surrealism. I draw inspiration from Hilma af Klint, the revolutionary abstract artist, and Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, an artist known for his use of color and shape. I’ve had an artwork of mine displayed in the Texas Capitol, Bob Bullock Museum, and Texas Governor’s office for a year, and scored in the highest bracket at VASE, a Texan art competition.</image:caption>

<image:caption>20” x 18” Gouache and color pencil on paper | March 2021 The dream: I floated out of an upside-down roller coaster and into the stormy night while an internal monologue whispered "Is this the true life? Is this the answer?" In this piece, I explore the relationship between the known, unknown, and perspective.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Dreams - Lucid - Lucid</image:title>
<image:caption>6” x 9” Gouache, watercolor, color pencils on paper | May 2021 Lucid dreams allow me to explore realms inconceivable to the waking eye. In one lucid dream, I willed myself to grow transformer arms to fight off Godzilla and in another I aided my evil cyborg twin in world domination because it sounded more interesting than waking up. This piece visualizes the moment of lucidity when I break through sleep and choose to embark of fantastical journeys.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Dreams - Sever - Sever</image:title>
<image:caption>12”x16” Color pencils on tan paper | Feb 2021 In June 2020, a dream in which I had short hair influenced me to chop off over 12 inches of hair. What began as a 2AM split decision bloomed into a symbol of my severance from heteronormativity. It was a change I wanted for a long while, but did not act on out of fear of appearing less “feminine” or “straight”. Cutting my hair paved a road of self expression, and since then, I have only become more secure in my identity. In this piece, I visualized introspection, the absurdity of a dream, and my acceptance of my sexuality.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Dreams - Requiem for Death - Requiem for Death</image:title>
<image:caption>16”x 22” Gouache on paper | May 2021 In a dream where I drowned, the feeling of dying was not one of fear, but of all-encompassing peace. It was as if a heavy pressure was rolled onto my chest while all my mortal ailments were taken from me, and I was left as an embodiment of light. This artwork communicates the tranquility I felt while embraced by death.</image:caption>
